WWE 2K24 Update 1.08 Patch Notes

The first post-launch DLC as part of the WWE 2K24 Season Pass, the ECW Punk Pass, is out now. As part of the structural support for the new DLC, Visual Concepts released the WWE 2K24 version 1.08 update. This update, just like the 1.05 update, is a huge one. General

• Several stability improvements
• New Entrance & Victory motions
  • Wolfgang

Audio

• Ring Announcer selection is now available in Universe match options.

Presentation

• Improvements to Super Finisher Visual Effects timing
• Addressed reported concern where user interface was obscured in ladder matches
• Improved Blackout payback trigger timing

CAA

• Custom arenas with RAW, Smack, SMACK, or NXT in their name will brand the referee appropriately.
• SmackDown movie is now named correctly.
• Addressed reported concern where the video billboard would lose its customizations.
• Users can now add customizations to parts with LED Displays while the display is active. The display will temporarily turn off; after applying the customization, the display will turn back on.

CAS

• Colorless emboss setting is now saved correctly.
• Logos no longer shrink when editing 1st color.

CAE/CAVic/CAS

• When saving CAS, entrance, or victory, a prompt will be displayed to allow saving changes to Universe.

Deletion Utility

• The Custom Image category now displays the current utilization of space specific to custom images.

• XBO/XSX platform – Addressed reported concern with achievement not being unlocked.

Online

Universe

• Addressed reported concern with players being able to select Superstars not assigned to the current show
• Addressed reported concerns with the match table and match generation
• Stability improvements

Reported Shadow Fixes and Remaining Issues

Similar to the previous updates, WWE 2K24 version 1.08 also has some changes that took place but were not included in the patch notes. Some of these shadow fixes as reported by the WWE 2K community include:

• The ever-present image glitching issue for custom images, although some users claim that you'll have to delete existing affected images first and redownload them for them to work correctly.
• The “Insufficient Space” glitch for community creation custom images has been fixed.
• Custom entrances can now use the right attire during entrances when they have multiple alternate attires available.

Meanwhile, several issues remain unsolved as of today from the same sources as well as through personal experience, with the most glaring being:

• Money in the Bank holders still don't bring their briefcase in their entrances in Universe Mode.
• Lighting in custom arenas sometimes still doesn't work as intended.
• Online matches are still unplayable.

From our end, we also noticed that AI ladder and TLC matches now don't go on forever like before, which is a small but also appreciated fix, whenever that fix could have happened. We also noticed that Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross now have a tag team entrance as well, but cannot pinpoint when this entrance was added to the game.

Visual Concepts still has some issues to address with the game, as there are still problems that the community needs fixing. But based on the patches so far, we're off to a great start. Hopefully, Visual Concepts will continue to deliver with these updates.
