Similar to most Souls-like games in the market right now, Stellar Blade has multiple endings. Three, to be exact. In this guide, we will teach players how to get Stellar Blade’s three endings, as well as how players can experience them all in one go. Beware of some minor spoilers for the game’s later sections.
As mentioned above, Stellar Blade has a total of three endings. Players can perhaps look at them as the game’s Good, Bad, and True Endings. Of course, these endings also have official names: the Cost of Lost Memories ending, the Making New Memories ending, and the Return to the Colony ending.
Stellar Blade Endings Guide: Things To Remember
It’s important to note that there are some things to remember when it comes to Stellar Blade’s ending. There are various points of no return in this game, locking the player out from a lot of content.
The first point of no return is when the player heads over to the Orbit Elevator. Doing so will lock the players out of Xion’s interior. That is, players will no longer be able to explore the insides of the City itself. Also tied to this is access to Eidos 9. If players don’t access Eidos 9 now, they will no longer be able to after.
The second point of no return is after completing the Orbit Elevator. Lily will ask the player if they want to trace the bike signal. Doing so will lock all of the other sections of the map. If the player still have things to do in the other maps, make sure to not trace the bike signal.
The last point of no return is located in the Nest. Moving forward from this camp will start the end of the game, and present the player with the choice that will dictate the ending that they get.
With that out of the way, let’s now start with how to get Stellar Blade’s three endings. As mentioned above, beware of spoilers for the game’s ending section.
Stellar Blade – Return to the Colony (Bad Ending)
Return to the Colony is Stellar Blade’s Bad Ending, and is perhaps the easiest ending to get. To get it, the player must make way to the next and, once Adam offers his hand to Eve, the player must choose not to take his hand. After doing so, they must progress as normal and defeat the boss that follows.
It’s important to note that the only flag that needs to be met for the player to get this ending is by refusing to take Adam’s hand. It does not matter if the player was able to go to Eidos 9 or not. The moment they refuse to take Adam’s hand, they will be locked to this ending.
Stellar Blade – Cost of Lost Memories (Good Ending)
The Cost of Lost Memories ending is also easy to get, as it just requires the player to take Adam’s hand in the Nest when he offers it. Afterward, progress as normal and defeat the boss that follows.
One additional requirement for this ending is that players must not have gone to Eidos 9. That is, the player must make sure not to get 100% progress with Lily if they want to see this ending. Doing so will, instead, give players the next ending:
Stellar Blade – Making New Memories (True Ending)
As mentioned above, if the player goes to Eidos 9, they will be able to get the game’s True Ending: Making New Memories. After finishing Eidos 9, players must then progress with the story as normal. Afterward, when presented with the choice, the player must take Adam’s hand after he offers it to Eve.
Continue with the game as normal, and defeat the boss that follows. Afterward, the player will receive a different ending to Cost of Lost Memories, as well as a post-credits scene.
Stellar Blade – Guide to Experiencing All Endings In One Go
Normally, thanks to Stellar Blade’s autosave, players would need to play the game at least three times to experience all three of the game’s endings. As it turns out, there’s actually a way for players to experience all three endings in two playthroughs, but players can cut it down to one if they want to.
The easier of the two choices is to experience all of the endings in two playthroughs. During the first playthrough, the player must make sure to get Lily’s progress to 100%. Then, they must proceed to Eidos 9, and then continue the game until they reach the camp in the Nest.
Once the player reaches this point, they must first save at the camp, and then exit the game. From there, they must then upload their save data to the PS5 Cloud Storage. Afterward, they must turn off the auto-sync of the save data. Once the player has done this, they can continue with the game.
The player can then choose if they want to do the Return to the Colony ending first, or the Making New Memories ending. After getting either one, the player must then download their saved data from the cloud, overwrite their console saved file, and play through the game again to get the other ending.
Afterward, the player can then start New Game + and play through the game while ignoring any of the collectibles that will increase the player’s progress with Lily. In other words, the player must make sure not to go to Eidos 9. Play through the game as normal until you reach the Nest, and then proceed to get the Cost of Lost Memories ending.
If, instead, the player chooses to experience the ending in just one playthrough, it goes a little differently. The player must play through the game as normal, making sure to pick up Data Bank collectibles as they go along. Keep track of the progress with Lily, as once you reach round 95%, the player must backup their save to the cloud as before.
From there, the player must then proceed to finish the game without picking any more Data Bank Collectibles. Once they reach the Nest, they must choose to take Adam’s hand to get the Cost of Lost Memories ending.
Afterward, they must download their save file from the cloud, and proceed to 100% their progress with Lily. From there, the player must then go to Eidos 9, and continue the game as normal. Once they reach the end, make another Cloud save backup.
After creating said backup, the player must then do the same thing as above. That is, the player must first refuse to take Adam’s hand, and then finish the game to receive the Return to the Colony bad ending. They must then download their save backup and take Adam’s hand to get the Making New Memories ending.
That’s all for our guide on how to get all three endings of Stellar Blade, as well as how to get all of them in one or two playthroughs. Stellar Blade is available exclusively on the PlayStation 5.
