Stellar Blade has a lot of secrets, like secret outfits and the like. However, one big secret the game has is the optional area Eidos 9. In this guide, we will teach players how they can unlock and access the secret area Eidos 9 in Stellar Blade.
Stellar Blade Guide – How To Unlock Eidos 9
Before talking about how to unlock Eidos 9, we must first talk about one of the somewhat hidden mechanics of the game. Sharp-eyed players will notice that whenever they pick up data bank items, a small pop-up will appear on the upper-right corner of the screen. The popup consists of a fillable bar, as well as a side profile of Lily.
This is important because for the player to even receive the option to go to Eidos 9, they must first fill up the bar to full. Once the player has filled the bar to full by collecting enough data bank items, they must then make progress in the game’s main story.
Upon reaching a specific part of the story, namely before going to the Orbital Elevator, Lily will speak up and say that she wants to go to Eidos 9. Once Lily speaks up about going to her Atelier in Eidos 9, the player can then talk to Adam and proceed to Eidos 9.
This doesn’t mean, however, that players have to complete their entire data bank to be able to get to Eidos 9. At the point in the game where the player has the chance to go to Eidos 9, they likely already have a 100% progress bar with Lily if they have have been picking up any data item they see.
What is in Eidos 9?
Eidos 9 is an entirely new area for the player to explore, complete with its own questline, as well as some secrets for the player to discover. This includes the Planet Diving Suit (6th), the Punk Top, and the Motivation.
Additionally, players will also be able to use the roller coaster trails scattered throughout the map to traverse from one area of Eidos 9 to another at high speeds. Instead of riding a roller coaster, however, the player will have to slide on the rails like the tunnels in the Great Desert.
One danger that players have to be careful of, however, is the water in Eidos 9. The water in Eidos 9 is contaminated to the point that Eve will straight up die if she stays in the water for more than 5 seconds. Of course, this means that as long as the player gets through the water fast, they won’t die.
Why is going to Eidos 9 important in Stellar Blade?
Now you may be wondering: why should you head over to Eidos 9? Well, perhaps the most obvious reason is that the player can find up to three extra outfits in Eidos 9. I say up to three because the Planet Diving Suit (6th) is also available to players who preordered the game.
Perhaps the most important reason, however, is because one of the game’s endings is directly tied to whether or not the player went to Eidos 9 before making their way to the Orbital Elevator. This will let players unlock the Making New Memories ending, considered to be the game’s best or true ending.
That’s all for our guide on how to go to Eidos 9, as well as what the player can find there. Stellar Blade is available exclusively on the PlayStation 5.
