The community never expected this but it's going to be a fruitful community day in May! The fruit Pokemon Bounsweet is the featured community day Pokemon in May 2024 for Pokemon GO. If you are planning to take part in the harvest, here's everything you need to know about the Bounsweet Community Day in Pokemon Go.
Bounsweet Community Day: May 19, 2024
Bounsweet, alongside the rest of its evolutionary line featuring Stenee and Tsareena, is part of the 81 Pokemon that was introduced back in the seventh generation of the Pokemon franchise. In Pokemon GO, Bounsweet evolves into Stenee using 25 candies and then further evolves into Tsareena, the final stage of Bounsweet's evolutionary line, with 100 candies.
The May 2024 Bounsweet Community Day is set to happen on May 19, 2024, Sunday, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time.
For this event, evolving Steenee during the Bounsweet Community Day results in a Tsareena that knows the charged move High Jump Kick. Players can still evolve Steenee into Tsareena that knows the move High Jump Kick for five more hours past the conclusion of the event.

Everyone's reaction to Bounsweet Community Day's announcement
Prior to the official announcement of the event, Pokemon GO released a teaser video for the Bounsweet Community Day.
At first, a lot of people thought it was going to be a Pikipek Community Day as Toucannon's shadow, the final evolution of Pikipek, was seen hovering at the start of the video. Alas, Bounsweet's obvious silhouette pounced near the end of the video thus confirming it was going to be a Bounsweet Community Day after all.
As it turns out, some members of the community seemed to prefer Pikipek over Bounsweet. Some of them even voiced out their preference online.
“I think I speak for 95% of us when I say we don’t want this. Give us Pikipek instead,” said one user in X (formerly known as Twitter).
“Most horrible community day ever. Sorry Bounsweet lovers 🤣,” said another user.
High Jump Kick over Tsarenaa's signature move Trop Kick
As more details regarding the Bounsweet Community Day soon came to light, the players seemed to be divided as to what to feel with the Bounsweet Communit Day. Specifically, some players had different views regarding the exclusive community day move for Tsareena as the featured move was not its signature move Trop Kick.
Here are some of the reactions of the community regarding Pokemon GO's decision to grant Tsareena High Jump Kick instead of Trop Kick.
“Yeah I'm happy with [High Jump Kick], but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't also hoping for Trop Kick. Could have sprang Tsareena above Roserade potentially,” said one user on a popular Pokemon GO subreddit.
“Seems like this has some potential for PvP. One of the many problems Grass types have is that so many of them are walled by Steel (Victreebell, Venusaur, Serperior, etc.), so a hard hitting Fighting move is helpful. Tsareena doesn’t really have the stat product to be great, but still could be interesting,” pointed out by another user in the same subreddit.
“High Jump Kick it is! That could definitely make Tsareena an interesting Pokemon with Grass, Ice, AND Fighting coverage,” said another user.
A Sweet Community Day
Regardless of whether or not players like it, we are pretty sure players who will participate in the Bounsweet Community Day will have a sweet time catching the featured Pokemon.
As always, we hope you have a fun time this upcoming community day and good luck on catching a lot of Bounsweets.
