According to our NBA 2K24 simulation, the Boston Celtics will defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 by a score of 105-98. Both teams kept it close throughout the match, but Boston ultimately prevailed thanks to a dominant third quarter. The Cavaliers could not find a way back as the Celtics left them behind in defeat.

BOS | 25 | 26 | 28 | 26 | 105 |
CLE | 24 | 29 | 18 | 27 | 98 |
Cleveland's biggest problem was turnovers, as the team only forced one, while allowing 9. The Celtics were able to drop another 13 points due to careless mistakes on the Cavaliers' end. Additionally, the team was unable to force any blocks, and only forced one steal. It was a very unimpressive day for the team defensively. One that cost them Game 3.
The Celtics actually didn't play too well. However, a third quarter surge saw the team outscore Cleveland and take a convincing lead. Boston never looked back as they enjoyed a solid Game 3 victory. Furthermore, the team earned six more steals, along with four more blocks, which shows how effective their defense was. Overall, Boston played well enough to walk out of the stadium with smiles on their faces.
In terms of player performance, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown earn the game balls here. Both players each dropped 29 points, with Tatum adding 9 rebounds to the mix. While not crazy, Al Horford also recorded a solid double-double that saw him score 10 points and earn 10 rebounds. He also successfully converted both of this three-point attempts. Overall, it was a solid showing, if not insane, from the Celtics.
The Cavaliers were led by Evan Mobley, who earned 24 points and 12 rebounds. Donovan Mitchell did not play to expectations, only converting one of nine three-point attempts, and finishing the game with just 21 points. The rest of the Cavaliers' roster was non-existent, with nobody else scoring double-digit points. It was an embarrassing day in The Land. They'll need to make some serious adjustments to fix what we saw on the virtual court.

With the win, Boston rebounds after an ugly Game 2 loss. The team know it has the pieces to win, but they still have a long road ahead of them. However, another win in Cleveland for Game 4 would really set the tone for the series. Can Boston end it quickly and rest their starters? Or will Cleveland give them a real run for their money?
With the loss, the Cavaliers once again give up a series lead to the Celtics. The team hoped to take advantage of their road victory, but had to settle for defeat. However, they know what they have to do to win. If they make the necessary adjustments, the Cavaliers can beat the Celtics. It's just gonna take a lot of blood, sweat, and tears.
In terms of accuracy, we weren't able to take out players like Kirstaps Porzingis or Jarrett Allen entirely. Trying to create custom rosters led to game crashes and technical difficulties. Therefore, we limited their playing time by taking them out of the starting rotation. Otherwise, we feel the scoreboard and shot conversion percentages feel accurate.
Furthermore, we're always looking for new ways to improve the accuracy of these simulations. Whether it's adjusting CPU sliders or lineups, we'll try and produce realistic and entertaining simulations.
